“It’s time to change,” Zoë captioned a screenshot of an article, which she posted to her Instagram story last night. “How is this title OK?” She added.

Zoë tagged Just Jared and the Daily Mail’s Instagram account in her post.

Just Jared originally posted a similar title, but changed it after Zoë called the post for approaching the story from such an archaic and sexist angle.

Zoë has spoken openly about the objectification of her experiences and how early exposure to fame and media attention impacted her body image as a teenager.

“As a woman in general and a woman in this industry, I have experienced some pretty wild behavior from the opposite sex,” she said. “The story evolved into something else, but the title ended up having multiple meanings. And it alludes to that time and place that we pretend not to be anymore, in terms of sex politics. People evolve and change. but there is still a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths because of past behavior. “

After our previous story update was posted, Zoë responded on her Instagram and said she contacted privately to ask Just Jared to change her title before making the change. “@JustJared changed the title because I personally contacted him before posting the post [originally calling it out on her Instagram Story]”she wrote.” Because of the apologies offered, I saw that they didn’t really understand why this was wrong and were not going to change the way they work as a whole in any way. Maybe now that they know people are watching, they’ll try to have a little respect. “
