In Germany and locally, the gaming machine giant Gauselmann Group has announced the success of the local license race to operate the only four casinos in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Espelkamp-based company used an official press release on Tuesday to detail that it had defeated two rivals to secure the casino monopoly for the western state of around 18 million people until the end of 2035. Gauselmann Group revealed that it currently has more than 14,000 employees spread across the globe, with the actual tender also expected to give it the potential to build and operate two additional casinos in North Rhine-Westphalia. The cabinet said the selection demonstrates’its exceptional expertise in the successful operation of casinos at more than 28 locations in Germany and abroad‘and came after he presented’the most attractive offer‘who understood’evidence of sustainable economic performance as well as financial stability and quality. ‘
Paul Gauselmann is Chairman and CEO of the Gauselmann Group and he used the press release to proclaim that his company is’anchored in tradition” and that the successful tender gives him the opportunity to take over the management of the casinos of the most populous state in Germany. The boss further revealed that his company will now seek to provide its’Merkur” gaming entertainment at the four sites while continuing to rely on the team of more than 900 people already employed by Westdeutsche Spielbanken GmbH, which is colloquially known locally as’WestSpiel. ‘
